Support Meetings
Volunteers, or "Mentors", assist active job seekers and the under-employed in realizing their career goals. You do not have to be an executive or even a manager to benefit or to help others. Whether you work in accounting, sales or IT, there are a number of ways to make a real difference while making valuable business contacts and learning essential new skills. Guidance, Training and Support Meetings are conducted by many Chapters of CEN, check the CEN Event Calendar for a support meeting near you.
Be a Prisoner of Hope
No one wants to be enslaved whether it's from a job or a job search. In fact Christ died to set us free. But if there is one thing in this world that I will let imprison me, it's Hope. Zechariah 9:12 states, "Return to your fortress, O Prisoners of Hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you". God makes this promise to you also in your job search. It's easy to be troubled, experience anxiety, carry burdens and think negative thoughts that will keep you away from God's promise. Staying positive, trusting that God has you on the right path, being a Prisoner of Hope and doing your part in your job search is the recipe for success.
